Welcome to the opening week
The college mini 5 a side league kicked off yesterday with only the real ballers turning up. EFC, Billionaire Boys Club, Smokey FC and Street fame are the 4 top dogs competing for the trophy and golden boot award. All teams showed some Ronaldo like magic, Rooney like shooting and Eduardo like dives
.
Billionaire Boys Club got a Billionaire battering by Smokey FC who were hotter than a Nandos chicken as they smashed 10 past the BBC. In our other contest of the evening EFC can count their blessing as they were lucky to defeat Street Fame by a goal. Street Fame were all over them like a fat kid and cake.
The match reports
EFC were cool and composed from the start with some sexy football being played between Rishi and Tashan in the opening moments of the game, in fact both the deadly duo managed two goals in the opening 5 minutes to put EFC comfortably into the lead. EFC then had keeper Jan to thank for a few saves, although I have no idea why he kept using his feet, it looked like he was dancing like a crazy white boy none the less he saved brilliantly. Unfortunately some sloppy defence allowed for Street Fames Aum to pull the game back before some great skill from Nouh had the crowd yelling “can I have it like that” you got it like that. BANG Ronaldo like stepovers and there’s the equaliser 2-2. Subs were made, Amil was actually the most dangerous in the EFC squad he had a few shots already but this time his shot had the speed cameras flashing as he broke the cages. 3-2 EFC at the break. Street Fame still thought it was nap time and unsurprisingly with good work from Charlie at the back Rishi and Amil once again extended the EFC lead. Finally Street Fame turned on and tuned in and it was a tale of the two Mo’s in the Street Fame squad one Mohamed in defence one in the attack allowed for a mighty Mo show, Mo Hassan got it back to 5-3 before Mo Ahmed 5-4. There were 5 minutes left and EFC were feeling the pressure. Nouh then hit the post in the final minute as Street Fame couldn’t find a way back. EFC win but only marginally.
The self proclaimed Billionaire boys went bankrupt this week after Smokey FC were too hot. Mounir was BBC’s bets players with some sensational skill, but he couldn’t do it alone and on the mike with Smokey FC was Arya who razzled and dazzled to equalise before the mix master Jazz sent the cheerleaders into a spin also scoring. Captain charisma Derek also got on the score sheet as BBC were getting humiliated. Abdul also got on the score sheet with Vim falling over in the game after he had a one on one opportunity, don’t worry he is actually pretty good although he only came as close as the post. In the end it was Jazz that took home the champagne getting man of the match scoring 4, although Arya vows that he will be the lead scorer next week.
Player Cam:
Game of the week. Street Fame vs. EFC
Goal of the day. Nouh “abra cadabra” Ahmed (Street Fame). The magician was unbelievable today with some excellent step over’s and strike to make me believe he should be playing in the premiership
Skills of the day. Amil “Oops I did it again” Jakupovic (EFC). Unbelievable strength from this man, running past practically the entire Street fame defence before hitting the post
Tackle of the day. Derek “the slayer” Shenlon. A beast at the back.
One to watch. Mounir “bang that” Benugida (BBC) despite a losing start he will definitely be the one to watch in the coming weeks, although he definitely needs a bit of help up front
Player of the week: Jazz (Smokey FC) for his 4 goals, sexy skill and domination in the attack, must be the yellow boots
