Welcome to week 2
As we moved into week two this week had everything from dirty tackles, messy skill, 200mph shots and an abandoned game. The college mini 5 a side welcomes a new team called Bayern NeverLusen who got their campaign off to a flier with a victory over Street fame. The game descended into controversy after 3 minutes before the end two players decided to strip off their clothes and put their gloves on for ultimate fighting. I don’t know how many times im going to say this but your all not kids now, play to the whistle don’t over react and don’t start fighting, if this happens the game will simply be called off.
In the rest of this weeks action EFC came from behind (not in a dirty way ;) to defeat the Billionaire Boys club who at times were playing like pennies r us., while Smokey FC were just too high making easy work of Street fame in a good contest. EFC and Smokey FC are joint top with Smokey leading the way on goal difference; however this can all change as they face off next week.
The match reports
Bayern Neverlusen ran this town tonight with an unbelievable debut performance. Sam was running around like Speedy Gonzalez as if the ball was stuck to his feet with Drilon making some brilliant challenges. In honesty NeverLusen lived up to their name and were in complete domination with Amangee getting the opening goal. 3 minutes later Sam then went through the entire Street fame back line only to hit the woodwork. Haider who had made a good save initially also stepped out of goal to cause Street fame some problems although he couldn’t get his shots away fast enough. Very much against the run of play Aum managed to pull one back for Street fame as Fame were now looking to deliver the x factor and equalise. The game then got a bit over physical with a slide tackle on Drilon being called and lots of shoulder to shoulder stuff. Despite the whistle being blown players would carry on arguing off the ball and cut time out of the game. Nouh and Mo linked up nicely for Street Fame and were unlucky not to be able to get the equaliser. Nouh and Drilon had been battling all game and ultimately it all came to an end where a shoulder barge into the cage led to Street Fame players reacting and of course NeverLusen players reacting back. It was foolishness but fortunately no punches were thrown as matters cooled. Obviously fighting or grappling of any kind would just lead to the match being stopped and that’s what happened. 2-1 Never Lusen.
Street fame had an evening of double trouble as they stayed on to face off against Smokey FC. Smokey didn’t start of too well with lots of huffing and puffing and no real opportunities and it was street fame with Nouh and Jatz that managed to test Aryan in goal in the opening minutes, Smokey FC didn’t know what hit them. Smokey eventually then showed no-one on the corner have swagger like them with Vim breaking the deadlock and Jazz scoring just after. Street Fame were like a shadow in this game always right behind Smokey FC and Jatz pulled it back to 2-1. Derek then put Smokey back into a two goal lead with our goal of the day, chipping over one defender taking and step and bang on the half volley. Jatz then pulled one back after the Smokey FC were too busy seeing double vision and couldn’t keep up with him. In the last 5 minutes Smokey FC put the game beyond doubt with Aryan, Jazz and Vim all getting goals and despite a late goal by Aum and Jatz, street fame lost again. Smokey FC 7-4
Our last game saw BBC face off against EFC and to the spectator’s amazement BBC were dominating possession in the early goings with Addanka and Mounir sending the EFC defence spinning. Josh would also make some mental runs down the wings but BBC lacked one thing, the finishing. They had 10 shots on goal in the opening 5 minutes and only Addanka completed two of them. At 2-0 up BBC started to get a bit slack and just made some silly mistakes, there was confusion with defence and attack and Jeff who was like Agbondalahor with a motor on his legs just didn’t stop running. A Jeff double saw EFC get back level before Rishi scored an absolute cracker showing why he is called big daddy cool. A pass was played across the middle and Rishi was unmarked he took a touch looked and banged it into the net, keeper no chance. EFC couldn’t celebrate for long as 2 minutes later Addanka got his hat trick to level the game once again, what a game this was turning out to be. Unfortunately for BBC they just gave up and EFC took full advantage with Amil and Jeff putting a nail in their coffin in the final 5 minutes. It ended EFC 7-3.

Player Cam:

Game of the week. Street Fame vs. NeverLusen. It would have been nice for this game to finish, unfortunately as a fight erupted on the pitch it had to be cut short.

Goals of the day. Derek (Smokey FC). Derek was on the charge a ball was given to him he took a touch past the defender, flicked it up to himself and then banged it on the half volley.
Rishi “come get some” Gharv (EFC). Rishi was responsible for making the ladies wet with this one as he launched Rishi airways with this sensational strike.

Skills of the day. Sam and Michael (NeverLusen). These two one in defence and one in attack were just eating the Street Fame players for breakfast like Henry and Gallas except without the hand balling and dodgy goal.

Tackle of the day. Aum (Street Fame). The only player for Street fame that attacked and defended.

One to watch. Jathephan (Street Fame). He got a hat trick in one of his games this week and im sure with the right service he will deliver a victory for Fame.

Player of the week: Jeff Gynsah (EFC). For being part of the remarkable EFC comeback getting 4 goals and never giving up.

Team of the week

GK Jan (EFC
DF Vim (Smokey FC)
MDF Jeff (EFC)
AMF Jatz (Street Fame)
