The season opener saw heavyweights AC and Pfc battle out a strongly contested
hour long match in which both teams’ squads were tested to the full.
AC seemed to be in the ascendancy in the opening 15 minutes before Pfc began to mount a reply shifting momentum in their favour. With AC beginning to gain ground, it was promptly spotted that an extra Pfc player had cunningly come on to the field of play to give the champions a man advantage to the protestations of AC manager Ivano Baldacionni.
Having resumed with equal players the game continued and both teams appeared to be cancelling each other out with the sides finding chances extremely hard to come by
Possession in the final third proved sporadic and a number of scrappy half chances were presented before Pfc took the league with a well hit low shot by Garry.
Pfc’s Ken, produced an exceptional goal line clearance to hold his teams advantage before a number of further half chances by the chasing team. Pfc however, managed to hold out. The game ended 1 nil to the champions.
MOTM Luke - A class act at the back for his team and constantly bombarded forwarded proving the start point of attacks.
