Welcome to week 5,
It looks like nothing can stop the runaway train of Treesdown that somehow managed to come from behind in the 2nd half to defeat ISA whose championship dreams have officially ended. Treesdown are 5 points clear at the top and can grasp the title with a victory next week. London’s Finest are their closest rivals as they smashed six past the Lehmann Brothers. Aston Brook Green also move on up defeating Q o Q, but we were all stunned this week as Q o Q managed not only score a goal but score 4 goals, it’s a shame they didn’t win it was a good performance. Finally Reds United marginally came out on top against Stafford 10 in a back and forth encounter. All these results mean 3 points separate 2nd from 6th.
How it went down
The curse of pandit predicts had Treesdown very nervous. Txts and emails were being sent across all of Birmingham to take down this so called Pandit after Treesdown were fuming he had predicted a defeat. Kully did some extra sets in the gym over the weekend while Jat practiced with more Cardio and the ladies making them scream have a baby by me be a millionaire. Despite all this training Treesdown went down with ISA hitting first through the reliable Jazz. Dav didn’t wait long to reply and let ISA know that he’s still around and ready to fire his team to the title. ISA were the better team in the first half and they deservedly restored their lead through Bobby and then Bhav stepped up to the plate to make it seem like Mission impossible for Treesdown as they went 3-1 down. The 2nd half got underway and Ajax realized they needed to up the tempo. Dav and Raj are on some next wavelength as for the 5th straight week they demolished the opposition listening to 2pacs it’s just me against the world baby. Dav fired in the opening moments of the 2nd half and Raj straight after and ISA within the blink of an eye had lost their 2 goal lead and were now in the back foot. Both teams looked for the winner and it had to come. Raj bombed on from the back got through on goal and blasted the ball into the back of the net. What a finish to a great game. ISA had the match in the bag only to throw it all away,
Reds United and Stafford Ten fought it out in a very tight and very fast paced game.. Abdullah and Hasil were the key men for both sides creating magical moments. Stafford were first to strike with Yemi but Abdullah leveled soon after. 3 minutes later Abdullah then took Reds ahead only for his goal to be cancelled out by Carlos and it was a level playing field at half time. The 2nd half started just as the 1st did with the Reds taking the lead this time through Haitam and Stafford hitting right back. Abdullah tried to get his team fired up and get some goals and once again he scored this time with a great one two to finish, unfortunately once again their lead didn’t last very long with Hasil making it 4-4, Stafford then thought they should have had the lead as it appeared like the ball crossed the line but it wasn’t given by the referee. Stafford were not happy and as they pressed for the winner they forgot to defend and Haitam made them pay in the dying minutes to put Reds back ahead and secure the victory. Reds United 5-4 Stafford 10.
ABG had complete control of their game against Q o Q from the beginning although they were dreaming about dating Cheryl Cole on several occasions as Q o Q did manage to get 4 goals. ABG blasted their way into a 5-0 lead in the first half showing great team work and great finishing from Luke. It must be said though Thomas scored the goal of the game with his missile endorsed by NASA. The 2nd half started with only one mission and that was for QoQ to get a goal and Thomas Davies obliged. In honesty Q o Q played a much better game with Lee and Kev also getting on the score sheet but for every goal they seemed to score it was cancelled out by Luke and James Martin. The good thing is Q o Q never give up, the bad thing is Q o Q still haven’t won. In the end Q o Q 4-7 ABG.
In another one sided encounter Finest put their foot down and put Lehmann Brothers on the naughty step from the first minute. Good tempo and good discipline was shown under Nathans guidance. Finest smashed in two goals from Demi and Michael as both players were causing problems on the counter. Finest unsurprisingly were 2-0 up at the half. In the 2nd half finest carried on their sexy football with Nathan getting on the score sheet and even though Kit did try and revive hopes for the Brothers Frank and Tom missed a few sitters as in honesty they should have pulled the game back. Finest were counting their blessings and when their opportunities came they took them with Michael and Demi closing affairs ending the game a quite flattering Finest 6-1 Brothers..
