Championship week 2

Welcome to week 2,

This week as we had fewer counters there will not be the usual full match report. Swan and the Paedo defied the odds to add to the misery of the Stunts and make it two wins from two keeping up their dreams of silverware. Limiteds were given a tough ride by the Pups but managed to come out on top as they remain on top of the table.

Swan and Paedo vs. Stunts

Jack Livermore managed to capture a hat trick for the Swans this week (yes swans I am just as shocked as you ;) . He took advantage of gaps left by Todd and Will. Both usually exceptional at the back made some great challenges but just didn’t pick up their men this week as it all seemed to fall apart. 4 goals scored by the Swans were scored practically on the line off the D as the Stunt defence was nowhere to be found. Man of the match Sam also netted twice for the Swans as the Stunts who were touted to be champions are now touted to finish closer to the bottom. Akash and Midas usually skilful and dangerous appeared flat and helpless and Harvey was also struggling. Everything they were doing just wasn’t happening and Charlie in the Swan goal was just bloody fantastic, keeping out everything from pillar to post.  Swans 5-1 Stunts.

Limiteds vs. Pups

Limiteds thought at the beginning part of this season this would be all too simple but they were given a run for their money by the pups today. The million dollar question is should their victory stand as they had to borrow 2 players that weren’t even theirs. The pups always up for a game didn’t mind and the referee allowed it, lucky them. It was David Wall vs. James Martin all game. David began the festivities for the Limiteds netting, only to be cancelled out by James. James then put the pups into the lead as this time David cancelled that one out before the break. 2-2. Sam price played a blinder of a game for the Limiteds with some fierce challenges and he showed his intent in the opening part of the 2nd half. Both keepers were also at it with Alex pulling off good saves in the limited goal but Nick really stealing the show with a string of fine saves for the Pups. He couldn’t do it all by himself as the Pups ran out of steam in the 2nd half allowing for David Wall to continue the massacre and Akash also getting a goal. James got his hat trick for the pups but by this time it was too little too late. Limited 5-3 Pups
