Surfaces for safe play, sports and leisure have been increasingly important within schools. Playfiveaside has conducted many projects from primary schools up to 6th forms and colleges to ensure the safety of all children.

TRANSFORMING THE LOOK OF YOUR PLAYGROUND

Installing safe playgrounds can transform muddy and often desolate play areas into softer tarmac playgrounds with visual elements that are key to a children’s development. All installations meet the highest safety standards and the play space can still be used in periods of heavy rain. Our drainage systems ensure that you have a year-round facility.

WET POUR RUBBER

Wet pour rubber can provide a colourful, smooth playing surface for around playground equipment, sports area’s or playgrounds. The choice of colour and layout can be decided by the school or play space and this can be designed specific to your needs.  Wet pour surfacing is a mixture of rubber granules bound together by a polyurethane resin and laid on an existing tarmac, concrete or MOT type 1 stone base to provide a continuous rubber surface free from seams or joints. They fulfil the critical fall height requirements around playground equipment or provide a sports play area.

ARTIFICIAL GRASS

If impact absorption is not required then artificial or lawn grass can be used to decorate the playground which will not only ensure a fine visual element but in addition a safe play area. A combination of wet pour and artificial grass can also be supplied.
